After having grown vastly popular amongst the Canadian scene, You Say Party! We Say Die! have plans to take the states by force, for real this time. With a new album XXXX set to be released early 2010, (already available via import through Paper Bag Records) YSP ! WSD! have plans to tour the US to promote the release of the album.

Hopefully this time they will be able across the border. In 2006 the band had plans for a major headlining tour, but were inable to do so because they had improper visas. Bassist Stephen O’Shea is banned from performing in the US for five years because of the situation, and will not be able to join the band on tour until 2011.

In addition to the new album and tour, You Say Party! We Say Die! has taken part in Paper Bag Records seven year anniversary compilation album, 7 Year Itch. The album features the label’s artists performing various covers such as YSP! WSD!’s cover of Rick Agnew’s “Falling Out”, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” done by Winter Gloves,  and an incredible rendition of Bat for Lashes track “Daniel” by Josh Reichmann.
