Presenting Not-Really-Conjoined Evelyn Evelyn!

Tuesday February 2nd 2010 @ 12:55 pm by Jackie Torres

smallEvelynEvelynCDCoverFinalPossibly proving that they may be twins who were separated at birth, the one-woman show Amanda Palmer and accordion guru Jason Webley have joined forces to create Evelyn Evelyn.

Billed as conjoined twins who are both named Evelyn, Webley and Palmer have brought together their similar off beat music to create something that is reminiscent of the ragtime show tunes and Americana.

Palmer, who is known best for being one half of cabaret punk-rock act The Dresden Dolls, plays the piano and ukulele loving Evelyn as she sings and shows off her knack for telling odd stories in the most appealing ways. Webley steps up to the challenge of working with Palmer as he also plays the accordion and guitar wielding Evelyn (they’re two separate but conjoined people, you remember).

Due out March 30th on 11 Records and 8ft. Records, Evelyn Evelyn will sure make people do double takes with the fast-singing and intricate story line the duo have worked up.
