Californian bred and born Cass McCombs has established himself as one of the best modern American songwriters, even though most of the country hasn’t caught on quite yet.  His folksy rhythms and melodies along with his eloquent lyrics and infamous stage presence helped him stand out from other indie acts and receive national attention. 

His latest release Catacombs has been praised by outlets like the Washington Post and Pitchfork for McCombs’ poetic songwriting.  In support of his latest release, McCombs just finished his European tour this month.  To hear more from this rising songwriter, check out his Myspace.  Country artists should really be taking some notes from this guy.
