The recession hits us all, including hardcore band Norma Jean. Instead of going out and doing a fancy high budget music video, they have decided to have their fans take part in the process of making the film for their new song “Kill More Presidents.” This will be the first single off their upcoming album due out summer 2010 from Razor & Tie Records, whom the band has just signed onto this year. They have enlisted all their fans to use their video cameras on their phones and flip cams to a greater use than recording their cat meow the abcs for youtube.

Norma Jean wants you to record them as they perform the new song on their 2009 Explosions Tour with Horse the Band, The Chariot, and Arsonists Get All the Girls. Once you get home from the show, you can upload it to a microsite which will automatically enter you to win a variety of prize packs including gifts from Hot Topic, Alternative Press Magazine, Denny’s, Monster Energy, Activisim/Tony Hawk RIDE, and many more.

Still haven’t gotten that flip cam from Santa? Don’t worry you can go to the microwebsite and send them your email address and be entered into the contest as well for the second tier prizes. The winners will be selected at random.
