Two years ago, Medeski Martin & Wood decided to challenge the tradition of musicians to write, record, and then tour by doing all three out of order.  They would get together and write, and then only perform that new material, recording immediately after getting off the road.  The result is a three part series of albums called Radiolarians.  Your purchase of Radiolarians: The Evolutionary Set will come with all three albums complete with bonus tracks, a 10 track remix CD (remixes by Dan The Automator, DJ Spooky, DJ Logic, DJ Olive, Scott Harding, and more), a previously unreleased 70-minute live album, a double vinyl LP set consisting of highlights from the three Radiolarians albums, plus a DVD feature film entitled Fly In A Bottle directed by Billy Martin. All of the material contained in the box was written and performed by MMW specifically for The Radiolarians Series. The album hits stores on December 8th, just in time for the holiday season.
