Black Gold Dates Added on Pixies Tour

Its not every day that you can hang out with Kim Deal on a tour bus, and once you do there’s no way you’ll ever want it to end. Two man experimental musical escapade Black Gold has been kickin’ it with Kim over the course of The Pixies’ Doolittle Tour, and have recently added two additional dates in Chicago and New York to open up for the legacies.
Black Gold, comprised of Panic at the Disco’s (don’t let that scare you away!) back up vocalist and pianist, Eric Ronick and Than Luu of M. Ward is a project that initiated back in 2006. The group have been touring with The Pixies and switching off opening for the band with Bad Lieutenant. The two additional dates added for Black Gold were actually supposed to be nights where Bad Lieutenant were to be opening. Bad Lieutenant have decided to cancel all of their touring for unknown circumstances. Frontman Bernard Summer has stated that the band is “extremely disappointed that on this occasion, we won’t have the opportunity to play our new music for our American fans.” Bad Lieutenant will be rescheduling shows in Chicago and New York in addition to a tour in the spring.
Many Bad Lieutenant fans are upset, but when they see Black Gold play their incredibly stimulating mid-tempo, scandulous pop rock songs off of their album Rush (Redbull), they won’t stay disappointed for long.
