The Whigs Set for Headlining Tour and New Album
After the huge success of Athens, Georgia garage rock band, The Whigs‘ 2008 albumĀ Mission Control, the guys are planning to one up themselves with the release of their next album In the Dark, set to be released early 2010. In order to promote their new album, The Whigs will embark on a headlining tour from the end of October through mid-December.
The tour and album are expected to have huge success as the last album landed the band on billboard charts and late night television shows. There will be three openers throughout the tour; with bouncy Kaiser Chiefs-esque The Features, folk rock band The Dead Trees, and Boston indie rock quartet, Mean Creek.
