Kathryn Calder, singer of The New Pornographers, and an artist who SPIN has said, “sings absolutely like a natural pro”, has released her new single, the haunting “Arrow” available for download HERE!
The first single off of Calder’s debut solo album Are You My Mother?, titled “Slip Away,” was so popular that the excessive downloading of the song caused her website to crash.

“Arrow,” a weighty song, which actually took only a day to record, sounds like the dreamlike, hazy time of childhood mixed with the harsh and bittersweet realities of growing up and knowing you’re on your own. Are You My Mother? is set for physical CD release Aug 3rd, but is available for digital Itunes download right now. Kathyrn is currently touring with The New Pornographers; on June 30th, she sang lead vocals with them on the David Letterman Show.
