Pre-teen Twilight fans and indie rock Metric fans might finally have something in common. Metric has written a new song specifically for the upcoming Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Metric’s lead singer Emily Haines and guitarist Jimmy Shaw, along with legendary film composer Howard Shore wrote “Eclipse (All Yours),” to be the first song on the Twilight soundtrack and the theme song for the movie. Other bands on the soundtrack include: Muse, The Bravery, Florence and The Machine and Vampire Weekend among many others.

This is Metric’s first song for a movie and they are very excited to have their first attempt at movie stardom reach such a large audience. “I’ve always wanted to write music for a film, but I never expectedto start with something on this scale,” said Emily Haines about the soundtrack.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is released on June 8th and the movie opens on June 30th, so make sure to check both out.

Good music and Vampires unite!
