Woven Bones- “It Feels Alright”
Woven Bones is ready to release their debut LP, In, Out and Back Again. The highly anticipated single, “If It Feels Alright,” is more poppy than anything I’ve ever heard out of this band, and definitely more mainstream, but it’s still not winning me over.
The instrumentals are great. So good, in fact, that the vocals are a bit of a disappointment. The growly sound works when you have music that matches the creepy feel, but this music is so poppy and upbeat that they just don’t work together. I feel like I’m listening to music mixed by a sub-par DJ that got creative.
This song, however, may not be the best example of Woven Bones work. I feel like their other material is interesting enough to overcome whatever they decided to do with this song so their LP will still be really successful.
They are in the process of a pretty extensive tour that sticks to the southern part of the US, so hit up the dates below to hear them for yourself.
